The philosophy behind Public Wall

Our Design Philosophy

Public Wall was designed to bring the tactile, personal experience of physical sticky notes into the digital realm. We believe that digital spaces can be warm, inviting, and personal - not just functional.

Each design decision was made to create a space that feels both familiar and delightful, where sharing thoughts and connecting with others feels as natural as pinning a note to a real cork board.

Realistic Textures

Cork board and paper textures that feel tangible

We've carefully crafted textures that mimic real-world materials - from the grain of cork boards to the subtle fibers in paper. These tactile elements create a sense of familiarity and warmth that digital interfaces often lack.

Handwritten Feel

Multiple handwriting fonts for personal expression

With six distinct handwriting styles, users can express their personality through their notes. Each font was selected to convey different emotions and tones, from casual and playful to elegant and refined.

🎨

Colorful Expression

Vibrant color options for different moods

Color is a powerful tool for expression. Our palette of sticky note colors allows users to visually organize their thoughts or simply choose colors that match their mood or the importance of their message.

👥

Community Focused

Interactive features for sharing and connecting

At its heart, Public Wall is about connection. Features like likes and comments encourage meaningful interactions, while the shared wall creates a sense of community where ideas can be exchanged freely.

Device-Specific Archives

Personal archives while maintaining public moderation

Our unique approach to archiving balances personal organization with community moderation. When you archive a note, it's removed from the public wall for everyone, but only appears in your device's archive history.

Intuitive Interactions

Simple, familiar actions that feel natural

We've designed interactions that feel natural and intuitive - pinning notes to the wall, writing comments, and giving likes. The interface gets out of the way to let users focus on expression and connection.
